New Notices
Christmas Fayre. This years’ Christmas Fayre is
on Saturday 30th November. If anyone
would like a stall or knows someone who might please let Jane or Yvonne know as
soon as possible please. Thanks
Freya. Thanks to all of you who continue to pray and support Freya through her journey with leukaemia. We are pleased to say she has had a good couple of months at home, still going back to hospital for chemo and have her nasal gastric tube put back down! The next block of heavy chemo starts in October through till December which includes the drug that gave her the blood clots, which as you can imagine is very worrying. On a brighter note we did manage to go away for a few days in a caravan to Mablethorpe through the cancer support group Clic Sargent and Ben’s Den. Freya loved it and it was a brief distraction from treatment. Your prayers are valued. Please continue to pray for Freya and the family. Thank you Celia and Bryan
Wednesday 23rd Oct. General Knowledge Quiz at All Saints Church, Sawley 7.30pm. Teams of 4. £5 per person. Funds raised for Christian Aid. See poster in foyer for more details.
Sunday Morning Refreshments. Many thanks to everyone who has helped serving refreshments after Sunday morning service. The rota covering the period up to Christmas is on the foyer notice board, next to the kitchen hatch. There are a few gaps to be filled, please sign up or speak to John Walton for more information.
Saturday 5th
October. From 7.00-9.00pm the Signs for Worship group would like to invite you to a free concert of
worship, praise and reflection. Tickets
are free however we will be asking for donations to the Bible Translation
Project which is translating the bible into British Sign Language to enable
Deaf people to fully access God’s living word. Please contact Tarnia, Tracy or Hyacinth for
more details and to get your ticket. Please
also let us know if you would be willing to bake a cake for us to sell, again
profits to go to the charity. Thank you.
